Ensemble Designs wins awards in Amsterdam show

Ensemble Designs of Nevada City received two awards at the recent International Broadcasters Convention in Amsterdam.

TV Technology presented Ensemble with its prestigious Star Award for the new IPhone video to HD interface to the BrightEye Mitto Broadcast Scan Converter. Many customers use it get breaking news to air. Mitto upconverts a small image from devices such as mobile phone video cameras to full-screen, high-definition images.

Broadcast Engineering Magazine awarded Ensemble its esteemed IBC Pick Hit of Show for our new Clean and Smart ASI Switch, the Avenue 4445.

The award was for Ensemble's new iPhone video-to-HD interface to the BrightEye Mitto Broadcast Scan Converter, a product useful for breaking news. Ensemble Sales Director Mondae Hott, Marketing Czar Cindy Zuelsdorf and President and Chief Design Engineer David Wood accepted the award.

Revolutionary for critical ASI feeds, the 4445 switches at the beginning of an I-frame, making it imperceptible to downstream equipment. It's ideal for single frequency networks and sources such as satellite feeds, transoceanic cable and terrestrial fiber.

Ensemble employees also were thrilled to be a part of the “What Caught My Eye” keynote presentation on at IBC by Chrichton Limbert, head of production modernization at BBC News.

During the IBC show, Telenorba, a large broadcaster in Italy, purchased a system for their upgrade to high definition.

“The way the control system works and its reliability for live, on-air adjustments was a key part of closing the deal with Telenorba,” said Mondae Hott, Ensemble sales director.
